Our 5-Step Cabinet Refinishing Process

1. Degrease & Inspect
Every door, drawer, and box gets a commercial-grade degreasing wash to strip kitchen oils. We inspect for delamination, water damage, and hardware that needs replacement.
2. Sand & Repair
Surfaces are sanded to a uniform tooth for adhesion. Dents, screw holes, and grain pores are filled where a fully smooth finish is requested.
3. Bonding Primer
We spray a stain-blocking bonding primer matched to the substrate — different products for raw wood, thermofoil, and previously painted cabinets.
4. Finish Coats
Two to three coats of waterborne alkyd or urethane enamel, sprayed in our shop for doors and on-site for boxes with full containment.
5. Cure & Reinstall
Doors cure undisturbed before reassembly. We rehang, adjust hinges, install new or existing hardware, and walk the project with you.
